My sister sent me up a delicious jar of locally made strawberry jam from her new Staffordshire home. I’ve been extremely partial to strawberry jam since our childhood, and my sister has stayed very keen on recommending to me any new recipes that she finds on her travels.

After moving up to Staffordshire recently she found a wonderful brand of preserves made by a company called Mike’s Homemade. Their whole strawberry preserve is delicious, and I was keen to try more of their flavours.

I asked my sister if she wouldn’t mind returning to the deli where she brought the item from, and asking them if they knew where I could get my hands on some more of Mike’s Homemade products.

Luckily I was soon returned with details of the company’s website, mikeshomemade.co.uk. The site displayed all of their lovely products, including chutneys, marmalades and pickled onions.

Their range of preserves looked mouth-watering, and I quickly ordered one jar each of their raspberry, and mixed berry and mulled wine preserves. Their prices are brilliant, and a steal considering the fantastic flavour.
