I’d been single for a number of months after an emotional break up from my last boyfriend. I tried going out and meeting new guys, but my confidence was shot, and my last partner wasn’t the primary reason.

Making a good first impression with a guy is absolutely essential. You have to look good, say the right things and give off the right signals. I was struggling with all three due to the embarrassment I was suffering due to my excessive sweating.

The wet patches that would appear under my arms were quickly disintegrating any chances I had of meeting a nice guy and seeing where it may lead. After reading up on what could be the problem, I was pretty sure that I suffered from a condition called hyperhidrosis.

I found a website called sweatguard.co.uk, which specialised in products and information to combat the effects of hyperhidrosis. I bought some of their washable sweat pads that can be sewn or pinned into your clothes.

They have done me the world of good, and I’ve seen a huge increase in my confidence.
